These wonderful chairs manufactured by acclaimed British company Greaves and Thomas have been fully restored and reupholstered in a contemporary pale grey fabric. The curved backrest and elegant frame have a distinctive mid century aesthetic. Each chair is stamped “11 April 1969” under the seat.

Richard Hornby is quickly becoming one of our favourite designers of mid century furniture and we were highly impressed by the build quality and design of the sideboard we sold recently. This coffee table is just as impressive and as with the sideboard, this is made from solid Afromosia. The convex form of the table top and magazine rack ends is again echoed in the convex form of the tables edging. Stunning large Vanson sideboard €450.
Peter Hayward designed for many of the major manufacturers of British mid century furniture including G Plan, Parker Knoll and Race Furniture and this sideboard, designed for Vanson, is one of his best.The Danish influence is evident in the small, square handles and ski legs. This superb sideboard is a mystery to us. It was made by G Plan in the 1970’s and literally looks like it has never been used. In fact we guarantee you will never find one in better condition. This is the same model as we have in our own lounge room and was designed by Victor Wilkins. The colour and grain in the teak, the condition and the sweeping lines make this a standout piece.

Greaves and Thomas were a London based manufacturer producing high end, contemporary furniture in the mid 20th century. This teak sideboard, produced in the 60’s, shows a strong Danish influence with it’s sculpted legs, integrated Afromosia handles and clean lines.
